Maintenance of the observatories is an important task and there’s no better time to do this than the summer.
The 2025 maintenance program included raising the two observatories so we could remove the old ground sheets and install new ones. This task included completely re-sealing the two domes to ensure they remain watertight. Fans were also installed in both domes to create better airflow and help combat condensation.
