Talk: John Nichol – Telescope Mirror Making

John Nichol (Nichol Optical) will be known to many as a regular attendee and speaker at Starfest. In this talk John will give an overview of the process for making a telescope mirror.

From beginning to end including materials, grinding, polishing and testing. And for those keen to get up close and personal there will be an opportunity to see a mirror under test and even try some try some grinding strokes of their own.
