Guest speaker Stuart Atkinson, from Eddington Astronomical society in Cumbria will be presenting the talk “REMEMBERING CASSINI – Looking back at the Cassini Mission to Saturn”
Stuart describes himself as “a lifelong amateur astronomer and “Public Outreach Educator” living in Kendal, in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, England. I am the author of nine children’s astronomy and spaceflight books, and my latest book, “A Cat’s Guide To The Night Sky” was published last October by Laurence King.”
Resurfacing work is being done on the car park at Ayton village hall and tarmac laying will occur this Friday, rendering the front door to the hall inaccessible even on foot.
The alternative access to the hall will be via Carr Lane and walking across the playing field to the rear/side door of the hall.
Carr Lane is off the mini roundabout by the church.
Park on Carr Lane (it is a residential street).
Free for members of the society.
