SARAS Members Winter Star Camp

As last year, the event will take place at Humble Bee Farm, Flixton in a small sheltered valley on top of the Yorkshire Wolds.  As those in attendance last year will confirm, the campsite is a nice dark site.  The weekend this year coincides with an approximate 70% illuminated Moon so fingers crossed for some clear skies.

As I am sure you can appreciate, the spaces are limited and as the site is open for the public, there is also the chance that public can book into some of the site.  At the time of writing this though, all 12 wigwams are available and there is no issue on space on the campsite.  It will be a case of 1^st come, 1^st served.

The Humble Bee Farm Wigwams

The tariffs are as follow:

Wigwams – £22 per night / per person.  Children from 2 years to 16 at £11 per night.

Caravans / Tents – £24 per pitch (up to 4 persons) including awning / electric hook up.

Additional items are available such as fire pits, cutlery / crockery, marshmallows, chocolates etc. and these can be arranged closer to the time.  For details of these as well as a look inside the wigwams please visit the Humble Bee Farm website http://www.humblebeefarm.co.uk/.

If you wish to attend the winter star camp, please send an email to Andy Exton stating numbers attending and if a wigwam/tourer/tent and once your booking is confirmed please send a cheque payable to Scarborough & Ryedale Astronomical Society to Andy.  All payments to be received by 2nd February.
