• Break-in at The Astronomy Centre in Todmorden

• Transit of Venus Webpage and Forum Area

As a society we plan to hold a members event so further details will be posted to this page as they are confirmed. The discussion can also be followed in a dedicated section on the forum.

• Transit of Venus (6th June 2012)

  Posted On: 08-Mar-2012 by Andy Exton 2012 will see a true "once in our lifetime" opportunity as the next transit of Venus will not occur until 2117. This will provide society members a unique opportunity to gather early in the morning and witness the spectacular event (weather depending of course!) NASA have a website dedicated to this event at NASA Sun-Earth Day.
